Have Dice, Will Date

It’s been a while since my last update. I’ve been dealing with various life issues, but the main thing is that i am hard at work on the third novel in the Thorn of Breland series. My final deadline is in two weeks, and I’m not going to be posting much or traveling again until it is done. Once it’s done, there are many things I want to do, including going back and telling some of the stories from my travels over the past year.

On other developments… I’m single. I have some friends who run a website that’s designed to help geeks find geeks, and hey, I admit it, I’m geeky. And it’s not like it’s the easiest thing in the world to meet the possible woman of my dreams while traveling to a new city every few days. So E. is going to try to help me with that. Per my HDWT plan, I have one night during my visit to do whatever I want with – well, if you’re an interesting person in the area, perhaps what I want is to have dinner with you! If this sounds interesting, check out the page at E’s site:

More to come when the novel is done!

Any change I can lend you my wife for a while? I think Christina could handle two geeks, and I thought you were nice to have around ;)

Heyya Keith! Just wanted to give ya an FYI that ya mispelled Joss Whedon’s name on your personal – best of luck! I met my current totally awesome girlfriend specifically because I wooed her with Whedon ;)

    Keith,

Have you read “The Court of Air” by Stephen Hunt?

It is a steampunk setting with swords and sorcery. I am reading for ideas for my 4e Eberron campaign. I am very late the Eberron setting, but I am finally on the band wagon. I am hitting Black and Read in Arvada to pick up the older books (game books and novels) for richer background.

Looking forward to your future work. Maybe I will get the word earlier this time. (I skipped from AD&D ver 1 to 4e).

You know I hear that Australia is full of lovely women for you to date and superior lemon drinks, have you considered looking for love in the worlds largest penal colony?

I’m just reading Court of the Air right now and am thus far enjoying it.

Keith, did the 2nd Thorn book come out already and I missed it? Or is it still in the pub process? Hope the 3rd is coming along well!

  11. Keith Baker says:

It comes out November 3rd, I believe.

  12. Hey Man!
Picked up the new novel and reading through it while I am supposed to be grading.
    I am digging it. Daine?!?
    Where are you?
You have a new novel out and not only is it not getting play at wizards.com but I haven’t seen you around the net with your usual presence in light of a new release.
Hope all is well and I look forward to reaching the conclusion of The Son of Khyber!
Maybe I’ll catch you on FB …

    Cheers!
