I’ve found that arriving home can be taxing too. I get used to being on the road, to things constantly changing. Then all of a sudden, things are in the same place they were yesterday. And then I spend a bunch of time in a comfy chair going “Uhhhhh, yeah.” It’s not very productive, but I think it’s pretty healthy.

I would like to echo Superkp’s suggestion that finding the right way to maintain a regular net presence might actually help your paying productivity. It seems to work for Matt Forbeck. I’ve often thought that the quality of today’s voice-recognition software means that one should be able to dictate asides that would mount up really quite rapidly. The issue is training your software apparently.

Hey Keith, I know you are avoiding the internet right now, but if you read this, please know that I (and probably others) would love to hear about random thoughts you may have. If you need a break, my selfish suggestion is to blog a bit. Tell us about how your Europe trip went, different types of gamers you played with, anything at all! You are a great writer, so please don’t stop your novels, but please also let us have some tidbits!

This may even help me avoid being retarded on the net. So you can chalk it up to charity!
